ROBERTO SOARES-GOMES | PHOTOGRAPHER

Since 1966 he is a great supporter of photography, one of the founders of the National Salons of Photographic Art of Juiz de Fora. He was Director of ABAF - Brazilian Association of Photographic Art and it is member of SFF - Fluminense Society of Photography. Owner of the Stock Photo "IN - Image Nation" (www.imagenation.com.br). Co-founder of ART-SETTE (www.art-sette.com). Judge of the XVII Brazilian Color Photography Bienal (2011).
Prized in more than one hundred independent contests in Brazil and abroad, highlighting the renowneds Leica-Fotografe, Concours PHOTO Amateurs, Nikon Photo Contest International, United Nations-Canon World Photo Contest, among others.
Chosen by the Editors of Popular Photography & Imaging magazine as "PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2006" in the United States, ranking among ten finalists in the following year edition of this very same competition.
Third Place in the category Architectural contest SONY WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS - CANNES 2008.

He won in 2009, three major awards:
- Gold Award in the category Digital Conceptualization of the Single Image Contest Award, sponsored by Black & White Magazine;
- Was the winner, with a series of images produced for a book published by ANTT in the category Corporate Design / Photo Products of the PDN PHOTO ANNUAL 2009 (sponsored by Photo District News magazine) and
- Excellence Award in the contest 2009 PORTFOLIO PHOTO AWARDS Contest sponsored by B&W magazine, the bible of U.S. Photo Galleries and specialized in Fine Art Photography.

Harlequin

Winner of the international competition HANEHMUHLE ANNIVERSARY PHOTO AWARD - 2010 in Germany, with exhibitions in galleries in the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Toronto, Berlin, Beijing, London, Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Cologne, Istanbul, Brasilia, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and other international capitals, along others, totaling 46 solo or group exhibitions.
Winner at the PDN PHOTO ANNUAL 2011 in the category Corporate Design/Photo Products.

Produced CD covers and had his photos published in over fifty magazines and newspapers around the world, one of two Brazilian photographers to publish the cover of the famous French magazine PHOTO, when he got the first place in the Concours Photo Amateurs, in the year of 1991 .
In three different years, had one of his photos selected to illustrate the exquisite annual calendars of Nikon Corporation, and twice received the Golden Medal of the Mazda Corporation in international annual calendars competitions sponsored by these companies in Japan

Won a car Voyage in the contest "Volkswagen Unforgettable Moments" sponsored by the German automaker, and three trips abroad in competitions sponsored by Kodak, Stella Barros Turismo, Fotoptica Magazine and ELE-ELA magazine, as well as several trips to Brazil.
Single Brazilian photographer invited in 1990 for the advertisings of Fujichrome Velvia film's released in Japan by Fuji Corporation, being represented in that country by GIP - Goro International Press, Tokyo.
It is one of the two Brazilian photographers to be published in a special editorial in the largest magazine devoted to photography in that Asian country, the Nippon Camera Magazine.
Selected by Conrado Wessel Foundation in the year 2004 as one of the leading Brazilian advertising photographers.
