“IMMUTABLE TIME”
Humanity marches indifferent towards its destination, and through the centuries, changes its attire, which in turn speak of power and social condition. Humans go their way, the privileged and the less privileged, always with a protecting mask, such as an armor, to face a world that all of a sudden may turn gloomy and indifferent.
Costumes, that’s what they are. Humanity is the same, therefore these characters, The Profane, whatever they express isn’t but a way to show off the most diverse pretenses.
On the other hand is the meaning given in “IMMUTABLE TIME”, to the Saints since their own iconography represent an unquestionable dogma.
This work, overflowing with categorical roundness provides us with the most varied and unexpected beings that suddenly evoke classical images with a contemporaneous configuration.
To toil in the human figure and provide it with that omni-embracing presence, from the most Sacred to the profane is for the Artist a feast away from emptiness, providing us with voluminous and disproportionate characters swollen with passion and fantasy.
“IMMUTABLE TIME” is a testimony of the passing of time and in spite of it, both attire and manners are a common place for humanity. On the other hand the Saints will always be there watching over the mortals.
Each and everyone constructs his/her own world according to their own experiences and perceptions in their journey through this world. So: why doesn’t every one construct their own world the best way possible?
