"I was born and raised in Mexico City; I started taking
photographs at the age of 15 when my dad gave me my first Polaroid. At the age
of 16 I got my first job as a photographer in Mexico City working for a music
magazine photographing concerts and portraits of local artists. Two years later
I studied photography in Mexico City at the Academy of Visual Arts and then
made a short course at the International Centre of Photography in New York. I
then moved to London for a BA in Media and Communications at Goldsmiths College
and now I am doing a joined MA with Sotheby’s Institute of Art and University
of Manchester on Historical and Contemporary Photography.
I specialise mainly on documentary portraiture and street
photography."
