Radhika Chalasani is a
Brooklyn,New York based photojournalist. She has lived in Asia, Africa, and
Europe and traveled extensively for her news and reportage work. Radhika
covered the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on the U.S. Gulf Coast extensively
for CNN. The project that came out of that assignment, Hurricane Graffiti,
appears in the 2006 Communication Arts Photography Annual and was exhibited at
several galleries. Radhika's work from Africa was shown at the Visa Pour
l'Image Festival in Perpignan, France and received four awards in the Pictures
of the Year competition in the U.S. She received the "Prix Special du
Jury" at the Festival International du Scoop et Journalisme in Angers,
France for her black and white images of famine in south Sudan.
