TAJEN: RITUAL AND PLEASURE

CAGES: Several "Kisa", local term for the rooster's cage, placed near the area. Many gamblers bring their roosters to the arena using this wooden webbing cage.

PREPARE: A Balinese removes his rooster from a cage before the game.
 ROOSTER: Balinese carries a rooster during the cockfighting game.

EQUALIZES: Several roosters being faced head to head to find the right opponents. In order to have well-matched fight the owner checks for the weight, muscle and sizes of other rooster.

WEAPON: Sharp blade being placed at rooster's foot and tighten by using red string. The blade use to kill the other rooster on the match.

GAMBLE: Gamblers holds the money. Millions of Rupiah cycled during the game, this is what makes it illegal in Indonesia as a country which prohibits gambling in any forms.

 ARENA: Hundreds of spectators, known as Bobotoh, flocks the cock fights stage in Bangli, Bali.

SHOUTS: A Bobotoh shouts to tag himself supporting one of the rooster fighting as part of gambling actions.

FIGHT: A rooster collied in the middle of the arena as other watches. The actual ritual for cleaning the impure area is until the rooster's blood spilled on the ground.

TENSION: Hundreds of spectators gazes at the game during the fights.

DEAD: A dead rooster died on the ground after loosing the game.

SPILL: Rooster's blood spilled on the ground.

PEELING: A Balinese peeling off the feather of a dead rooster and chop the meat.

MEAT: Dead rooster chopped and the meat are given to the owner and the winner.

DEVOZIONE E TRANCE

Thaipusam è il più grande festival indù in Malesia, celebrato soprattutto dalla comunità Tamil durante la luna piena nel mese Tamil di Thai. Pusam si riferisce a una stella che è nel suo punto più alto durante il festival. Il festival commemora il compleanno del Signore Murugan, il figlio più giovane di Shiva e Parvati e l'occasione quando Parvati dette a Murugan un vel (lancia) in modo che egli potesse vincere il demone del male Soorapadman. La celebrazione si svolge nel tempio di Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur. Questo rituale è frequentato da milioni di fedeli da tutta la Malesia e da alcuni paesi esteri.

I devoti si preparano per la celebrazione purificando sè stessi attraverso la preghiera e il digiuno. Il giorno del festival, i devoti si faranno radere le loro teste per intraprendere un pellegrinaggio durante il quale saranno impegnati in vari atti di devozione, portando in particolare vari tipi di kavadi (doni).

Molti di loro ritiengono di essere posseduti dal Signore di Murugan. Essi presentano pentole di latte fresco come offerte speciali per il Signore di Murugan, il latte più tardi sarà versato sulla sacra lancia del Signore di Murugan.

Christo è un fotografo autodidatta che sviluppa la propria passione e la fotografia in bianco e nero fotografia come suoi lavori personali. Christo ha sede a Bali, dove lavora come fotoreporter freelance. Attualmente sta progettando documentari personali a Jakarta e Bali. Nel 2009 è stato scelto come Young Asian fotografo per Workshop fotografici di Angkor.
