Marcus van Soest was born on 30th of May 1965 , And
lives in the city of "the Hague" / Holland .
Drawing and painting has been a passion of him ever since he was about the age of seven....
After high-school he went to the " Royal Academy of Arts" in the Hague, where he studied Graphical Design for about a year(1985/ 1986) . The direction of this study was not to his convienience so he decided to start what he calls : free-painting , becoming an auto-didactic painter...Day in , day out he studied to master his paint and was influenced by the great masters : Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Brueghel de oude, Rubens, Arcimboldo, Rembrandt, Delacroix, Dali, Picasso, Max Ernst, and "Les Figurations Libres"
